Theres a race on Wednesday at the dirt track but nobody is keen on going due to the 5 different COVID related waviers you are required to print and sign in advance. So we’ll find other things to keep us occupied (as if work isn’t enough). I did bring multiple fishing poles. And I want to go check out Rural King!

Hell yeah, rural king! I was blown away when I saw farm life in general, having grown up in NYC suburbs.

You got three chances to find Fifth Third Bank. Yes, they’re called that. No, I don’t know why, and I therefore refused to bank with them.

Its a sad little town. It was a real, honest to God city once, back before the interstate system. Then i70 replaced 40, and Indianapolis thrived, and terre haute became a ghost town

Merger of Third National Bank of Ohio and Fifth National Bank of Ohio, I t happened in 1909, if it happened more recently, they’d just bring in a consulting firm to invent a new name that was translated from Latin to English, then to Spanish, then partly back to English, then had some letters rearranged to make it trademark capable, then make up some vacuous press release BS about what the new name is supposed to signify.

Well, one bank hired me, a marketing major, who switched from finance, because it was too hard, to manage a branch, so that should give you an idea of where a lot of their mindset is. I left after about 14 months - 6 day work weeks, evening hours, and dealing with unreasonable Karen-type customers and mediating idiotic disputes between employees kind of got old.

I didn’t. I got kind of a late start and wanted to get out here so I could get settled and get some rest. When I go on work trips, its usually pretty hard. We usually manage to sneak in some fun but we typically average 12 hour days, so I wanted to be fresh.

But I do appreciate all your info. The trip home on Saturday will be more leisurely and I will be checking some stuff out along the way.
